In 965 AD, Odin, king of Asgard, takes up arms against the Frost Giants of Jotunheim and their pioneer Laufey, to keep them from vanquishing the nine domains, beginning with Earth. The Asgardian warriors rout the Frost Giants in Tønsberg, Norway, and hold onto the wellspring of their capacity, the Casket of Ancient Winters. 

In the present, Odin's child Thor gets ready to climb to the seat of Asgard however is hindered when Frost Giants endeavor to recover the Casket.
