Guardians of the Galaxy movie

In 1988, after his mother's death, a youthful Peter Quill is snatched from Earth by a gathering of outsider thieves and smugglers called the Ravagers drove by Yondu Udonta. After 26 years on the deserted planet Morag, Quill steals a mysterious circle however is assaulted by forces of the obsessive Kree rebel, Ronan the Accuser. Despite the fact that Quill escapes with the sphere, Yondu discovers his burglary and issues an abundance for his catch, while Ronan sends the assassin Gamora after the circle.

At the point when Quill attempts to sell the sphere on Xandar, capital of the Nova Empire, Gamora ambushes him and steals it. A battle ensues, attracting a couple of abundance hunters: the hereditarily and cybernetically altered raccoon Rocket, and the tree-like humanoid Groot. Nova Corps officers catch the four, keeping them in the Kyln prison. A prisoner there, Drax the Destroyer, attempts to execute Gamora because of her association with the amazing intergalactic warlord, Thanos, and Ronan, who slaughtered his family. Plume convinces Drax that Gamora can bring Ronan to him, however, Gamora reveals that she has double-crossed Ronan, reluctant to let him use the sphere's capacity. Discovering that Gamora intends to sell the circle to the Collector Taneleer Tivan, Quill, Rocket, Groot, and Drax work with her to escape the Kyln in Quill's ship, the Milano.

Ronan meets with Gamora's assenting father, Thanos, to discuss her double-crossing. Plume's gathering flees to Knowhere, a far off lawless outpost in space worked in the monster severed top of a Celestial. A tanked Drax summons Ronan while the rest of the gathering meets Tivan. Tivan opens the circle, uncovering the Power Infinity Stone, a thing of immeasurable force that destroys everything except the most impressive beings who use it. Tivan's slave Carina grabs the Stone, setting off an explosion that engulfs Tivan's chronicle. Ronan arrives and easily defeats Drax, while the others escape by ship, pursued by Ronan's followers and Gamora's assenting sister Nebula. Cloud destroys Gamora's ship, leaving her coasting in space, and Ronan's fighters catch the sphere.

Plume contacts Yondu before following Gamora into space, giving her his head protector to survive; Yondu arrives and retrieves the pair. Rocket, Drax, and Groot take steps to assault Yondu's ship to rescue them, however, Quill negotiates a détente, promising the sphere to Yondu. Plume's gathering agrees that confronting Ronan means unavoidable death, yet that they can't let him use the Infinity Stone to destroy the system. On Ronan's flagship, the Dark Aster, Ronan embeds the Stone in his Warhammer, taking its capacity for himself. He contacts Thanos, taking steps to murder him after first destroying Xandar; scornful of her supportive dad, Nebula allies with Ronan.

The Ravagers and Quill's gathering get together with the Nova Corps to defy the Dark Aster at Xandar, with Quill's gathering breaking the Dark Aster with the Milano. Ronan uses his engaged Warhammer to destroy the Nova Corps armada. Drax kills Korath and Gamora defeats Nebula, who escapes, yet the gathering finds themselves outmatched by Ronan's capacity until Rocket crashes a Ravager ship through the Dark Aster. The harmed Dark Aster crash-lands on Xandar, with Groot sacrificing himself to shield the gathering. Ronan emerges from the disaster area and prepares to destroy Xandar, however, Quill distracts him, permitting Drax and Rocket to destroy Ronan's Warhammer. Plume grabs the liberated Stone, and with Gamora, Drax, and Rocket sharing its weight, uses it to disintegrate Ronan.

In the outcome, Quill tricks Yondu into taking a compartment supposedly containing the Stone and gives the genuine Stone to the Nova Corps. As the Ravagers leave Xandar, Yondu remarks that it turned out well that they didn't convey Quill to his dad per their agreement. Plume's gathering, presently known as the Guardians of the Galaxy, has their criminal records erased, and Quill learns that he is just half-human, his dad being essential for an old, obscure species. Plume at long last opens the last present he got from his mother, a cassette tape loaded up with her main tunes. The Guardians leave in the reconstructed Milano alongside a pruned sapling cut from Groot, which grows into an infant version of him.

In a post-credits scene, Tivan sits in his destroyed chronicle with two of his living exhibits: a canine cosmonaut and a human duck.
